When I Fell in Love with Santa

The story

He came in with a velvet coat and boots that kissed the snow, and I swear he made the fire glow. He left cookie crumbs, a wink, and a trail of footprints out into the night. Call me naughty, call me nice, but now I leave the door unlocked every Christmas Eve. A little foolish magic is good for the heart.

Lyrics

He came in with a velvet coat
Boots that kissed the snow
Red cheeks, that peppermint smile
I swear he made the fire glow

He dropped gifts on my pillow
And winked before he fled
Left cookie crumbs and perfume dreams
Still dancing in my head

That's when I fell in love with Santa
Under twinkling Christmas lights
Didn't care if it was crazy
He made it feel so right
Now I leave the door unlocked
Every Christmas Eve at night
Cause I fell, I fell in love with Santa
And he's all I want tonight

He knew just what I needed
No list, no second guess
Just warmth, and jazz, and jingle bells
And kisses on my neck

Call me naughty, call me nice
But he came twice
And baby, I lit up like the tree

That's when I fell in love with Santa
Under twinkling Christmas lights
Didn't care if it was crazy
He made it feel so right
Now I leave the door unlocked
Every Christmas Eve at night
Cause I fell, I fell in love with Santa
And he's all I want tonight

Mistletoe and mystery
He's more than just a man to me
Ho ho holy night
Santa, come back tonight
