Warmest Light (Studio Version)

The story

What does Christmas really mean? Maybe it's a table set for one, or a stranger who remembered you were human for a while, or the silence at the station when the snow begins to fall. I think it is a choice to stay open, to be the match in the storm. I still believe in people. The fire you carry through the dark is Christmas, and it lives in you.

Lyrics

What does Christmas really mean
Is it snow or silent trees
Is it gifts wrapped up in paper
Or a feeling on the breeze
Is it laughter in the hallway
Or a table set for one
Maybe Christmas is a whisper
That we all belong

So shine, shine your warmest light
Let it glow through darkest night
We're still here, we're still believing
In the love that keeps us breathing
So come closer, take my hand
This is what we understand
The fire that we carry through
Is Christmas and it lives in you

It's the tear you held all year
Falling soft into a smile
It's the stranger who remembered
You were human for a while
It's the silence at the station
When the snow begins to fall
And you realize in that moment
You were never small

So shine, shine your warmest light
Let it glow through darkest night
We're still here, we're still believing
In the love that keeps us breathing
So come closer, take my hand
This is what we understand
The fire that we carry through
Is Christmas and it lives in you

It's not just a day on the calendar
Or a scene from a movie
It's a choice to stay open
To be the match in the storm
To say, I still believe in people
And I still believe in us

Can you feel it rising high
Yes we feel it in the sky
Are you ready to ignite
We will shine our warmest light
Even through the longest night
We are glowing, we are bright
This is Christmas, pure and true
It begins in me and you

Shine, shine your warmest light
Oh oh ohh
Shine, shine your warmest light
Oooooh
This is Christmas
This is home
You are not alone
